About Us
Molly and dune have been friends for 32 years. They met as coworkers at Harborview Medical Center providing Trauma Rehabilitation and Orthopedic Occupational and Physical Therapies. They have backpacked hundreds of miles together and supported the unfolding of each other’s lives. Over the years, their professional lives have paralleled each other, moving into their separate private practices and each deepening their understanding of the human system from different perspectives. You will find the combination of their expertise as therapists to be a first-rate fusion.
Meet Molly
Molly Allison, M.S. OTR/L, CHT, SMS
In over 30 years of practice, I continue to love what I do. I am an Occupational Therapist, a Board Certified Hand to Shoulder Therapist and a whole-body Structural Medical Specialist. My background spans both orthopedic trauma and complimentary medicine. Much of my career was at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle’s Level 1 Trauma Hospital. I then segued into my own private practice. My clinical outcomes improved drastically when I allowed myself to bring my personal philosophies of health and wellness into the equation. This can be difficult to do in our conventional medical paradigm. After a couple of decades of patient care, something became clear to me: the nervous systems of most of my patients were taxed and depleted. When I addressed the whole body as a system, treatment was far more effectual for my patients and congruent with my philosophies of wellness.

Meet dune
dune (Cathleen deSmet, PT, PRC, C-IAYT)
I have been a Physical Therapist since 1994 and an 800 hour Certified Yoga Therapist since 2023. I started my career as a PT in Subacute Rehab, followed by 5 years at Harborview Medical Center in the inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation departments, as well as outpatient orthopedic PT. I transitioned into my own outpatient orthopedic PT private practice in 2001 when I moved to Vashon Island. My extensive study and certification with the Postural Restoration Institute in 2015, transformed the way I perceive human movement. Over the 32 years of my career in the healing arts, I have also embraced non-western healing modalities, such as Yoga, Jin Shin Do Acupressure and Mind-Body Medicine. I have extensively studied the human trauma response, the neurophysiology of trauma and somatic modalities. A life long learner, I draw from the whole breadth of my training to bring what is most essential for my client during their sessions.
